As Jim McCants himself recalled to the BBC in October 2018, “[Cathleen] said, ‘Do you feel okay?’ I said, ‘Yeah I feel fine, why?’” But what his wife saw didn’t look fine. “[She said,] ‘Your face is yellow, your eyes are yellow, you look terrible.’ When I looked in the mirror it was shocking.”
